PLACIDO AWARD CALLS
The Placido awards has been created to offer a promotion plattform to new talented directors, recognizing their work through best short film and best poster-making, with the Placido and Toni Galindo awards.
The Placido de Plata award is reserved to recognize the best black genre feature film of the festival.
The Placido award is an statue designed by Àngels Freixanet. She was born in Moià, she has done a series of individual expositions in the best galleries of Europe. She also worked as a scene-shifter for plays and musicals, for example, “El retaule de la llum” perfomed in Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona. She has won a number international awards and her work has inspired many writers like Salvador Espriu, Manuel Vazquez Montalbán, Jose Luis Guarner, Jorge Edwards, Hado Lyria or Giò Pomodoro.
